No Downpayment Policy for Hospital Treatment in case of Emergency

Private Hospital Association of the Philippines (PHAP) inform the public that there is no advance payment or deposit to be collected in treating patients in the midst of death.

President of PHAP, Dr. Rustico Jimenez said that Hospital must accept the patient, save and treat them ahead and set aside the money matter.

Anyone who refuses to implement this policy and found guilty is subjected to suspension or even revocation of their license.

One story happens in Manila when a couple is in need of medical assistance. Her wife is in labor and needs a medical attention. But one of the Doctors from UST rejected to admit the patient.

See How a University Student accidentally discovers the life of a battery up to 400 years.

It is well known that laptop batteries are something which runs out of charge after a certain period of time. Thus, they need to go through periodic recharge cycles in order to be usable again.In time, they give in to wear and tear and need to be replaced.

However, according to a recent discovery made at the University of California, something knows as Irvine or UCl is capable of making it through 200,000 recharge cycles in roughly 3 months. If that is to be believed, then the average lifetime of the laptop can be extended to 400 years.

The student who discovered this goes by the name of Mya Le Thai. She was only playing around with things in the lab when she was able to figure all this out. It is amazing just how a little bit of experimentation and fun can lead to important scientific discoveries.

It has been years since researchers have started looking for a suitable alternative for the Lithiumbattery. There was a team at UCl who were working with Nano-wires for this purpose. However, they soon discovered that these wires were far too thin and would eventually break due to the high number of charge cycles it went through.

It was only by accident that Mya here had set up the same set of golden Nano-wires in a mixture of manganese dioxide and an electrolyte gel that resembled Plexiglas. The doctoral student even admitted to doing all this just by whim, without any particular reason. One thing led to another, and within no time, she had solved one of the biggest scientific puzzles of recent times.


But even until today, researchers have not been able to perfectly describe the phenomenon which causes this design to yield the results that are on display. They had just started to cycle the devices with no particular motivation and had soon realized that it would not die anytime soon. Whatever it is, however, it is definitely a great advancement as far as our progress in technology is concerned.

Stopping corruption in any place on a large scale is next to impossible. However, for how long can we expect to let this carry on in our countries? It halts progress and destroys the lives of many. As far as the Philippines are concerned, here are some potential ways to stop this corruption.

Punishing Vote Sellers

Corrupt voters are the root of everything when it comes to corruption. As such, it must be stopped and put to rest even before it gets a chance to begin i.e. during the election beginning. A prison sentence is a good way of going about it.

Despite several good laws existing in the Philippines government, corruption still exists because of the lack of integrity among the officials who implement them. Improvement must be made in this regard.

Step in Setting Online Passport Appointments in the Philippines

  1. Set your appointment on the official website of DFA Online Passport Appointment or https://www.passport.gov.ph

  2.  Click on the schedule an appointment button at upper left of the site (see image below)

  3.  Check the box on the terms and conditions and hit start individual appointment.

  4. Filled out the necessary information where you will set an appointment

  5. Choose your preferred schedule appointment (Date and Time)

  6.  Filled out your personal information (Red asterisks(*) are strictly required).

  7. Complete your family information.

  8. Select what type of application you want. (New application or Renewal)

  9. Filled out the contact information which include your (complete address, office address and contact number)

  10.  Review all information that you input on the online data appointment system. Now if you already check all information you can proceed and submit the form. But make sure you check the CAPTCHA text box and confirmation agreement. Next hit the confirm button.

  11. After it, visit your email for the confirmatory message of the passport online application system. The system will send you a link where in you will print it. This document is necessary upon your appearance on the date of your appointment. Use long bond paper on the said document.
    *Reminders:  You must confirm this within 24 hours to make it valid*

  12. On the day of your application appointment schedule, go to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) office. Ask the guard or any office staff where to claim your passport. Submit your online application form to the staff in the counter.

    Below are the necessary documents which you may have before your appointment date. Have a Xerox copy on it’s of the requirement below so you will not waste your time looking for a photo copy machine shop. Also bring the original in validating the requirement

    • Confirmed appointment (Online Appointment receipt) 
    • NSO Birth Certificate 
    • Valid ID 
    • Personal appearance (For photo capturing, signature and data validation)

  13. Get your queuing number and wait for the number to be called by the personnel staff. Prepare your fee. Below are the DFA fees.

    • Express Processing P1,200.00 - (7 working days)
    Renewal application fee:

    • Regular Processing P950.00 - (15 working days)
    • Express Processing P1,200.00 - (7 working days)
    Lost valid passport (Replacement Fee):
    • Regular Processing P950.00 - (15 working days)
    • Express Processing P1,200.00 - (7 working days)

    For lost of valid MRRP/MRP or lost of valid e-passport there is an additional fee of P200.00 and P350.00 respectively.

    Reminder: Appointments beyond from 5:00PM onwards will be classify as rush processing.

  14. Proceed to the photo image capturing section; Remove all you accessories such as contact lense, earrings, necklaces, etc.
  15. Lastly, claiming of your passport. The staff will tell you when to claim your passport. Claimant date also appeared on the receipt. Take care of the receipt since this will be your proof in getting your passport. If you are busy and cant able to go upon the date of releasing, you can also tell the officer to deliver your passport in your house or office. However, there is an additional fee.

Manila, Provinces Minimum Wages will be equal, Duterte Said

President Rodrigo Duterte urged Department of Labor and Employment Secretary Sivestre Bello III to thoroughly review the balancing of the minimum wages in Metro Manila and Provinces in the entire country.


One of the reasons why Manila is crowded and overpopulated because people migrate to manila to aspire a high salary compared to their respective provinces. Bello said to DZMM Teleradyo upon his interview.

Government and other agency concern is considering this proposed. Yet, Government created a Bill in congress which expected to pass by this end of October 2016, Bello said.


Upon passage of the said bill the national wages board per region will be irrelevant. Now, many of our citizens are waiting for the result of this proposed salary standardization.

Getting NBI Clearance via Online Application

Our government is looking for a better easy and faster way in getting NBI clearance. It also lessens the burden of the applicant in getting their NBI clearance. This online application minimized the red tape and control un-ethical work of a fixer. So here we go. Below is the step by step tutorial in getting your NBI clearance online.

1. First visit the official website of National Bureau of Investigation. NBI Online Application or (www.nbi-clearance.com)

2. If you don’t have account yet, you must create one. To do this process you must simply click the sign-up button at the upper right side of the website.

3. A pop-up will be open asking whether its a new application or renewal. After selecting which one you need, the form will be opened. Filled up all necessary information which the website needed. Be careful with the information you put. All information must be correct since it will be used by NBI for your online application.

4. When done filling, tip the check box. “I accept term of services” click on “Agree”.

5. After hitting “Agree” the site will be sending you a notification that you have successfully registered in their portal.

6. Activate your NBI account by opening your personal email.

7. Again, Signing-in with you NBI clearance account.

8. Update other information that pertains with your personal information.

9. Now you are ready for getting or applying your NBI clearance. Just click the “Apply for Clearance”.

10. Pop-up will open and ask what government you will be presented upon your appointment date.

· Valid passport 
· Driver’s License 
· Voter’s ID 
· PRC License 
· SSS ID 
· GSIS UMID 
· Postal ID 
· School ID

· Authenticated Birth Certificate

11. After confirming that you agree with the option. You are freely to select NBI branches, Time and date you preferred in getting your NBI clearance. The site also asks what the purpose of NBI is whether local or abroad. 

12. Payment of NBI Online Application

In paying NBI clearance online there are four (4) options you may choose.

  • Bank (over the counter)
  • Mobile payment (via G-Cash)
  • Banks Online
  • Bayad centers
Now you can select what payment method you want. Take note you should pay your NBI clearance before your appointment date.

13. Now you can print your NBI receipt after payment by just simply signing-in again with your registered email address to the NBI website portal.

14. Go to transaction menu at the left side of the website.

15. Click for the details and print your application form.

16. Your NBI clearance will be ready for pick up on the date of your appointment date. Please note that you must bring 2valid ID and the printed application form.

17. Next step, ask the NBI personnel, tell them that you are online applicant. The personnel will guide you to the biometric and photo taking in charge.

18. Lastly the releasing of your NBI clearance.

Loud Explosion over Argentina Lead People to be Scared - Giant Meteor Explode

It was a regular day around Pinamar, Argentina May 18, 2016 at 9:25 PM when suddenly people from Argentina heard a very loud sonic boom that caused establishment and houses to be shaken.

Everybody lead to panic, fire-fighters and ambulance rushing to find what the big blast boom is. The local government coordinated to the astronomers and scientist to get some information about the big boom.

Scientist said that a meteor have entered into the earth atmosphere, 33,000 feet high from the ground. The meteor measured about 12 meters in diameter before split into three particles.

It was very terrifying when this meteor hit Argentina after knowing that this not the first time that the earth hit by this meteor. Finland, USA, Canada and Brazil had already experienced this terrifying event.


Now are you scared, it seems the biblical judgement might be happen.

United State Announced to Philippine Navy to Donate New Frigate Warship

The president of United States Barack Obama announced to Philippine Navy to donate Frigate Warship. Obama said that USCGC Cutter Boutwel l (WHEC 719) will passed its ownership to the Republic of the Philippines on July 21, 2016. The will be name by the Philippine Navy as BRP Andres Bonifacio.

BRP Andres Bonifacio is the sister of two warship frigate known as BRP Gregorio del Pilar and BRP Ramon Alcaraz. The said two ship has a former American names as USCGC Hamilton and USCGC Dallas.


USCGC Hamilton is 378 feet in length, draft of 15 ft. and beam of 43 feet. The ship can load up to 3,250 tons and composed of 2 diesel engine and 2 gas turbines which is capable to travel fast up to 29 knots.
